We have enjoyed our stay here. Wish we were here longer, but need to get moving on toward DC. Wanted to stop at Appomattox to go to a museum and the historical park. Tried to find the state park, then went to the closest RV Park (which was mostly a mobile home park with no trees). Ended up driving out of town 12 minutes and we’re surprised by this gem of a campground. We’ve all voted it as one of our top 3 favorite campgrounds of all time. LOVE the water activities, the playgrounds, basketball court, paddle boat and kayak rentals (even though we have no time for that), and the sites. Plenty of room. Lots of shade. Nice people. Would love to come back again!

We stayed here while my son played in a baseball tournament. The sites were a little close together, but the campground and facilities were clean, the staff was nice and the other campers were respectful of the rules and quiet hours. Nice place, and we would definitely recommend it.

Clean park, fun for kids, easy access to Lynchburg, dates for a baseball tournament. Solid cell coverage- (sprint/T-Mobile) was able to work remotely no issues/stream tv etc. No campground WiFi (no issue for me). Decent space in the sites... not as close as most KOA’s... not as spacious as a state park, no complaints. Super nice staff!!!

Wonderful campground. Mature trees, level site with gravel pads and concrete patio and picnic table. Quiet during the week but locals enjoy coming here on weekends, so it becomes quite busy. A huge field for kids to play safely in. The campground is centrally located near many historic places. We would definitely stay here again.

We were booked to stay here for 6 nights but had to leave after the 1st one because our site (#33) was extremely not level. Even after using blocks and trying for 30 minutes, we were still leaning 9 inches on the passenger side. Miserable night. The staff was nice and the campground was fairly quiet. However, the sites are very small.
