“authentic Worcester diner”
Enjoy traditional, home-cooked meals while reminiscing in the ambiance of a past time. Charlie’s Diner, one of Worcester’s authentic diners, was manufactured by the Worcester Lunch Cart Company in August 1948 (plate number 816). Originally called The Mill Pond and located in Wareham, Massachusetts, it was purchased by the Turner family in 1950 and moved to its Plantation Street location in Worcester. There it remained, operated by three generations of Turners, until March 2002, when the land the diner occupied was sold and the new owners asked that it be removed from the location. After 3 long years in storage, the diner embarked on its final trip to Spencer, Massachusetts, its new and permanent home. Featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!
Very nice waitress, enormous portion even though I ordered the smaller size turkey dinner. We ate in the bar and it was quite chill and relaxing. Really want to go back and eat in the diner!... Read more
Have been going here for a while food and service used to be good but have noticed quality of food and service going down hill last few visits. Read more
The food quality here was very good! They had a nice beer selection and a large bar to sit at. The service was adequate overall. It's definitely worth trying their food! I was glad I stopped in!! Read more
