“bizarre roadside sculpture graveyard”
Have you ever wondered where fiberglass creature molds go to die? A vacant field behind the FAST Fiberglass Mold company has become a virtual graveyard for the creepy molds of days gone by. If you were driving past you might think that you were looking at the worst lawn decorations in the country. Huge, eye-catching figures are tossed out daily at the Fiberglass Animals, Shapes and Trademarks company. Need a big burger to top your restaurant? FAST can help you out, and most likely, your trademark will eventually end up in the graveyard with all the others. Giant Santas, huge mice, elephants, bears, and even a suit of arms make up one of the countries weirdest garbage Stonehenge. If you want to take a walk through the graveyard at FAST, visitors are welcome to grab a photo-op, and hang out among the giant mice and weather worn logos… chances are you’ll see some familiar fiberglass faces. -Roadtrippers There's a creepy graveyard just off the highway in Sparta, Wisconsin. It's the final resting place to HUNDREDS of massive fiberglass creatures. This eerie collection represents every mold the FAST Fiberglass company has ever made. After the mold is manufactured for production it's laid to rest in a gigantic graveyard in the middle of a field. These are the molds for all those statues you see while traveling down long stretches of highway, enticing you to pull over for a burger, or get your oil changed. There are hundreds of these molds scattered across the grounds. From massive skulls, to scary sharks, and humungous Santa Clauses. Due to the fact that the molds are left out, exposed to the elements, over time they've come to look like ancient sculptures of a bygone age. You're welcome to stroll the serene cemetery and pay your respects at this bizarre roadside attraction. FAST Corporation is the premier manufacturer of fiberglass statues and water park attractions both nationally and internationally since 1983. We have hand-crafted and molded fiberglass into statues and shapes for thousands of companies around the world. These lightweight fiberglass sculptures are designed to withstand rigorous use and the weather for many years.
Stopped by here on a whim riding on 90. It was hysterical and I'm glad I stopped. Definitely recommend it. And it is free, which is a plus. You just pull up to the visitors sign and you don't need to check in or anything. You're free to walk around and enjoy.
This place is awesome if you like weird bizarre places! You can walk around on the lot and see all the old molds. It's like a grave yard of forgotten fiberglass molds
This place was awesome. It was exactly as described, and was incredibly interesting and an absolute blast. It wasn't touristy at all (in fact we were the only ones there the whole time). It's just a field full of fiberglass molds, and a few finished pieces too. They do keep the grass mowed and have a sign for visitors warning them not to climb on anything. We loved it. We got lots of pictures. We highly recommend it.
Pretty interesting stop!!
Worth the stop, vaguely creepy but cool. Wear some bug spray though.
Free and entertaining
Interesting place to stop! If you're close by, you should come and take pictures. Fun place to see.
This place is awesome. You can drive right up. They have a sign for visitors, basically letting you know to look out for wasps and not to climb on the molds. We found big boy and we think chuck e cheese. Satan and Jesus were also there along with a bunch of animals. Well worth the 10 mile detour.
Loved it. Great for stretching the legs and getting a good laugh. Fun things to look at and FREE!
This place was fun to walk around in and we got some great pictures. However, the actual office was a little hard to find. We ended up stopping at the garage right next door but they were very nice and let us park there anyway.
