I see the Village of Solomon is trying to reinvent themselves by creating another entry for their B&B.

If I could give it -5 stars, I would. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE.

Now you're probably thinking that I'm exaggerating or being over the top with that statement, but I'm honestly not. I chose to stay here for the Iditarod, thinking it would be a good choice, as they'd been operating for a while, but boy was I greatly mistaken. These people have absolutely no business running a B&B, and I'm shocked that they're still in business.

So onto the horror stories - their communication is terrible, multiple people handling things, and no one is talking with each other. Next thing is they were "trying out a new payment system", but apparently they couldn't figure out how to run a credit card, so they ended up charging my card 10 times, which my company immediately flagged for fraudulent use and froze my card.

When I finally arrived in Nome and made the 30mi trek down the Nome-Council highway, my driver and I arrived at the B&B in disbelief. No one had prepped the site and we literally had to dig our way into the place because the snow had covered the entrance. Once we got inside, it was only downhill from there because:
• No running water
• No heat
• No linen
• No internet
• No phone service

Yes, they had no heat, linen, or running water in the place. In the winter. On top of that, they had no spare gasoline for the truck with tracks, to ensure that you can get back to Nome with a margin of safety. So as we were returning back to Nome, we had to stop at the Safety Roadhouse and see if we could get someone to bring us gas, because we had a quarter tank left, which would only get us about 12 of the 23 miles back to Nome. So the driver got ahold of one of the village elders who said, and I quote "Just drive until you run out of gas, and we'll send someone to meet you." My driver called multiple people from the Village of Solomon, all of whom blew him off, and eventually after he pleaded with one of the people, they said that they would meet us with gas half way.

So we embarked on the journey back to Nome, and we were counting down the miles back to town, and as we got to the mile marker where they said they would meet us at, no one was there, so we continued towards town, hoping we'd see them on the way back. Nope. They never showed up. It was nothing short of a miracle that we made it back to town, as we were riding on fumes the last 8 miles or so.

After I had complained about their horrendous setup and treatment, I was promised a refund check in my hand before I left Nome, but that never happened. They promised to mail it to me right away, but it took my action to get in the mail, and few weeks later it finally showed up.
