We camped at the Hitching Post in Snowville, UT on 4/21/2024 on our way from Moab to our home in Washington State. This is our first stop after leaving Moab. The campground is like an old farm. It’s not fancy but has everything you need: electricity (20A, 30A, 50A), potable water, sewer, picnic tables, a laundry room, toilets, and shower rooms. It also has “the Grub” that serves burgers, hot dogs, and tacos, Monday thru Friday, 4 pm to 8 pm. It has Wi-Fi internet. When I tested the speed at 7 am, it was 17 Mbps download and 2.5 Mbps upload. It’s not super fast but usable. However only three campsites were occupied when I tested it. It would be much slower if there were many more campers.
I reserved a site via Campendium – Spot2nite and paid #45.62 ($41.62 camp fee +$4 service fee). If you call the campground directly or pay at the campground, you avoid the service fee. When I arrived at the campground around 6 pm, Kristy came to the office and checked us in.
There are also tent pads and bunk houses.
I would stay here again if I need a place to stay in Northern Utah.

We have used The Hitching Post before and it has always fulfilled our needs. This area of travel is known for high winds by afternoon this time of year where one traveling is safest to pull off and get some rest. The timing is impeccable whether coming from the east or west .
They do have a place on property to grab some grub from 5pm to 9pm, though we chose to drive into town to fill up and get some food.

We merely stayed overnight on our way to SLC. The price was right. Quaint place. More of a stop over place than a destination. No trees, no shade. BuT, it was DEFINITELY quiet and peaceful.
