“enjoy the forest and river”
This campground is situated in the forest along the North Fork Nooksack River. Tall Douglas Fir, western red cedar, and western hemlock trees provide abundant shade. Guided river rafting and white water kayaking opportunities are available on the river. A day use picnic shelter provides a space for groups to gather and recreate. A picnic table and fire ring is available at each campsite. 18 of the 30 sites are reservable, as is the historic, CCC built day-use picnic shelter. The day-use picnic area requires a $5 fee that is separate from the Recreation Pass. A launch site for rafts and kayaks is available on the North Fork Nooksack River, under the highway bridge from the campground. Garbage service is available on site. It is 2.5 miles west to the small community of Glacier, WA for groceries, firewood and other conveniences.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 24, 2023Pulled in here on a Monday evening around 4 pm and found 4 open sites available. All the ones along the river were already reserved but found this sweet spot and relaxed for the night. Took a short stroll down the river path. Vault toilets were clean. No bugs either for the middle of July

Just next to the North Fork Nooksack River and along Mt. Baker Highway, it's a very accessible campground with shaded sites in a grove of huge Fir trees. Sites are also level with good areas to pitch your tents.
