Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on July 25, 2023This is a a family run campground, run by the sweetest couple. We really enjoyed our site, however this park seemed to mostly be long term campers...so that always changes the vibe for us. Everything was clean, my son loved the catch & release pond. Sadly the wooded areas had to be avoided during our stay because of heavy rains the week before and mosquitos. We did not have a chance to use the pool. The location is fabulous. We were able to walk to the bakery for breakfast and Sister Bay was a quick drive up the road. This is also a great place to stay for those visiting the state parks. We did not have full hook-ups, so plan to visit their dump station. It was a very tight drive for our 37 foot fifth wheel to maneuver the interior road that goes through the park, but doable. To reserve you must mail a check for a deposit as they do not accept credit cards. Plan to arrive with cash or check. This is a great home base to enjoy Door County.

This is a quiet, family run, campground. About 85% of the sites are seasonal so during the week, and even on the weekend, it's pretty quite because not everyone (or hardly anyone) is there. Most of the seasonal sites are uniquely landscaped.
It's run by a husband/wife team who are friendly and accommodating. They provide good advice about local attractions. The best cherry pie in Door County (in our opinion) is just 1 mile down the road at Keopsul's Market. Quick assess to Sister Bay, Ephrium, and Bailey's Harbor.
Good water and electric connections. Pump out service is available for $9 - it's easy to schedule and no hassle. Shower and restrooms are clean. The pool is nice too. Gravel roads so dust can, at times, be present.

We are on a 6 month road trip and couldn’t resist visiting Door County. We called on a Wednesday for a Friday arrival and 3 night stay.
They were so accommodating! We stayed 2 nights in site 517 then we decided to add a 4th night so moved to site 304.
Great swimming pool, nice bath house with 4 toilets and 4 showers per gender.
Lots of seasonal folks and we can see why.
The campground is centrally located in Door County.
WiFi at the office.
Wood is $6 a bundle, Ice $3.
Private trout pond.
Lots of open space, games to borrow, lending library, area info and more.
Cash or check only.
Would highly recommend and return if in the area.
I have to say it again…the owners are amazing and really set the tone for a friendly, welcoming atmosphere at the campground.
