“Right on the fairgrounds!”
From the Junction of I-29 and 12th St. (Exit 79), go 3 blocks east. Turn north (by Taco Bell) onto Lyon Blvd and proceed 2 blocks. This road will drive you right onto the Fairgrounds. There are 200 full hook-ups with water and electricity that have access to a dump station. Restroom facilities, hot showers, lots of grass, limited shade. Close to softball diamonds, zoo, Laundromat, shopping mall, hardware store and restaurants. For information call 605.367.7178.
The campsite itself was fine, but I woke up many times in the middle of the night due to loud airplane noises, and in the morning there were men in shirts that read “inmates” cleaning the campground. Other than that, bathrooms had showers and my rent site was only $20, so it wasn’t terrible.
