One of Iowa's best collections of steam-era railroad buildings; including a roundhouse with turntable; wood sand tower; and five other structures. This 31.5-acre site is under reconstruction for conversion to a National Historic District. The roundhouse building is home to a nationally significant steam locomotive; the Great Northern Railway 4-6-2 Pacific-style N. 1355. Located along the Loess Hills Scenic Byway.
