Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 08, 2016This is one of the best-run and well-maintained campgrounds I've been to, even though all the staff I've seen look like students). The grounds are very nice, good mix of sun and trees. Good amount of space between sites. Lake is beautiful (no view from campsites, though) and they maintain a sandy beach. There is a large playground, tennis court, beach volleyball court, ping pong table, and other toys.
About half of the campsites are reserved seasonally and it looks like it's mostly weekenders who keep their rigs there, so mid-week the sites are occupied but folks aren't there.
Warning for latecomers: there is no after-hours self-registration between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and office closes at 9pm.
Couple minor cons: the water and power hookups are far away so I needed and extension cord and two hoses. There are no trash dumpsters easily accessible, only some regular trash cans by the office and playground.

We were on our way from MN to Mackinaw and this was a perfect half way spot. We had 2 RVs and stayed in site 46 & 48 for one night. Nice people and quiet made for a great night’s sleep. Sites are very large! The beach/lake area is raked and clean. Overall I would totally recommend!
