“giant sequoias, meadows, and human history”
Housed in a historic market building in the Giant Forest sequoia grove at 6,500 feet (1,980 m) elevation. Learn about sequoia groves and fire. Get park information and browse books in a small bookstore.
Lots of parts of the park close down for the winter, but not the Giant Forest Museum! If you're going to check out the Giant Forest Grove (as well you should) stopping here first will really prepare you for what you'll see there-- it may seem like a bunch of big trees, but it's really way more awesome than that!
Lots of educational material to explore at the museum and has a wonderful trail that begins and ends at the museum.
