Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on October 23, 2022We stayed at two sites 37 and 49, both sites were beautiful but we preferred number 49 over all because it was closer to a shower house. There are three campground loops and all sites are lake side. For $14 a night (National Park Senior Pass) with water and electric and lake side we believe it's hard to beat. Sites were large and spaced nicely. Big rig friendly. Facilities were cleaned twice a day during our stay. We enjoyed Lake Hartwell every day. Take your kayak. We both ride motorcycles and the area north of the town of Wahallah is great riding. Will be back again someday.

This is a wonderful COE campground. All of the sites are on the lake, with some sites having better views and access than others. Good cell coverage throughout, over the air TV is good. The lake views cannot be beat. There are bathhouses conveniently located throughout, one swimming beach and several playgrounds. Three dump sites make checking out much simpler. The absolute best site is 14, with site 69 & 70 a close second. Not far from I-85, about 10-15 minutes. Dollar General nearby, Walmart and grocery stores about 15 minutes. Definitely recommend.

We love the Army Corps of Engineer campgrounds and Oconee Point was no different! Well maintained, clean, and quiet. We drove all of the camping loops and couldn’t find a bad site anywhere! We were in site 45 and it was great! We will absolutely be back whenever we are in the area.

This is one of the best COE campgrounds we have stayed at. There are several COE on Lake Hartwell and this is one of the best. Small, quiet, large sites, most on the water, great Verizon and AT&T coverage.

Beautiful campground in the upstate of South Carolina. I believe all the sites are lakefront spots with plenty of space. Electric and water with a dump station. It also has a boat launch for some great fishing in Lake Hartwell.

We just completed our 4th camping trip and this one ranks as one of the top spots. This campground was clean, quiet and private. All sites were on the water with a gentle walk to the shore. The water was down quite a bit so there was a huge shoreline to walk. Our site #3 was very private and large and had a great view of the sunset every night. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for 3 nights in August of 2023 - hot, but awesome to be able to get in the lake and have water access from our site! We had a nice pull-thru, but not much shade. There are a lot of really nice sites along the water - some are a bit higher in elevation so aren't great for water access. I liked the low 50's and the low 60's the best. Very nice camphosts, shower was great - really loved our sunrises here. A bit of trash blown up on the beach, so I walked and picked up a bag. I would definitely would love to go back!
