Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on June 19, 2023We stayed at RVacation Campground in October. We camped in a 40’ fifth wheel pulled by a RAM 3500 dually. We were in the area for the state fair and to visit the capitol building in Raleigh. This campground was close enough to the city for day trips.
Access and directions to the campground are easy. The site is right off the busy Interstate. There is a lot of interstate 95 noise and a train that runs all throughout the night.
There were no obstacles getting to our site. In fact, we were given an end, pull through site with a huge yard toward the back of the park. We paid $225 for a week’s stay. The prices are clearly stated on the website.
There is a nice pool, two very nice, fenced in dog runs, plenty of over the air TV channels, catch and release fishing with no license required, and plenty of green space! The campground is missing activities for the older kids. A basketball court and playground would be nice.

We only needed a one-nighter, but would stay longer in the future. Super easy access and check-in.
There is road noise from the highway, and an occasional train whistle. Neither thing bothers us very much, but some would have issue with it.
Our site was very large with lots of green grass, a concrete patio, and nice table with chairs rather than the typical picnic table. Open sky for satellite. FHU with 50 amps, everything worked well.
Easy to get level on dirt parking site. Just a little mud from the morning's rain, not bad.
Park WiFi worked great at all hours - a real plus on the east coast! Very nice and helpful staff.

Super convenient along route 95. Easy no contact arrival, level end of row site, lovely lake view. Traffic noise from highway was not bothersome. Nice fenced dog park(s). We will remember to stop here again next time through the area.

Right off 95 made our travel much more convenient. There’s train and highway noise constantly but we didn’t mind at all. Beautiful lake view. The kids loved watching the ducks. There’s also a chicken coop up front the kids enjoyed. My husband was able to work right off of their wifi. We had great signal at our site (E4). Very nice and clean laundry facilities (4 washers/2 large dryers) Would definitely come back!

We stayed here for a month as a trial run prior to going full time, during COVID. The campsite is well maintained, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We only used the dog park and the laundry during our stay. We stayed in our 33 foot Travel Trailer.
We stayed in G1, right on the pond. There was highway noise but we got used to it for the most part. While inside of our travel trailer the noise was not too loud. There is a nearby train yard and the trains do make quite a bit of noise in the middle of the night sometimes which may be tough for the light sleeper. We talked with others that were not as close to the highway/train yard and they said that the noise was minimal.
Our arrival was smooth- Jessica was very kind and was very safe following COVID protocols. She always wore a mask and escorted us to our site via her golf cart. The staff was also great at reaching out when a package had arrived.
The dog park is great- separated into two sections for small and large dogs. It was well maintained and very nice for the dogs.
I would recommend this as a place to stay- especially for those traveling on 95 that need a place to break up the drive.
Cell service- we worked from the camper and were able to leverage hot spots via Verizon and AT&T. Verizon speed test resulted in approximately 7 mbps download, 5 mbps download. AT&T was much better, getting download upload of 40/10 at times. The bars of service for both carriers varied from 2/3 bars, but we had a consistent cell signal and had no issues with our internet (we are heavy data users via work and rely on our hotspots).

This turned out to be a nice surprise. Close to Selma and Smithfield, where there are antique stores and other shopping. We also found a couple nice breweries not far away. The sites were all very nice and had concrete pads with tables and chairs on them. There's a tidy dog park with section for big doggos and little doggos.
The campground is under construction or renovation... there is construction equipment parked in random sites across the park. The campground roads were also very muddy while we were there. And the noise from 95 is always present at all hours of the day.

We have stayed here twice. We love the easy pull through, wide sites, the lake and the dog parks. The campground and laundry room were extremely clean and well kept. We enjoyed the glass table and chairs provided at our site. It was much nicer than a typical picnic table.
We weren’t able to use the pool because it was closed.
It is right off I95 but we weren’t bothered by the road noise. We actually slept with our bedroom windows open a couple of nights and it was just a low hum in the background.
We would stay here again if we were in the area.

As many times as we traveled up & down 95 we never knew this campground was here. The owners were welcoming, and the campground was super cute and clean! We only stayed 1 night during our travels up the coast but we certainly will be back.

We stayed here for 6 months while we had work in Raleigh.
We loved our time at North Point.
The people are friendly, the grounds are kept nicely, and the playground was great for our kids.
Sunsets over the pond were always beautiful. And feeding the ducks was a highlight for the kids.
Sites are level, gravel.
We were long term/monthly at $650 + electric.
Only cons …
Internet was very spotty, even with an extender.
Laundry facilities only had one working dryer each.
