Confirmed by 10 users | Last reported on December 29, 2023This campground is was small and quiet. There is a lot more day use area than camping area and the main attraction seems to be fishing. The campground is well kept and clean like the other Army Corps campgrounds we've been to. All the sites have water and electric and the fee is $19 or $9.50 with the National Park Annual Pass. They were still learning their new reservation system with Recreation.gov and I suspect the 50% discount for the standard National Park Annual Pass may go away since we've not had luck using it for discounts with Recreation.gov in the past. They do accept the National Park Senior and Access passes for the discount.
The restroom in the campground was closed and apparently due to be replaced at some time but there are flush toilets near the day use area not too far away. There's also a nice shower house and restroom at the other end of the park. It's a little less than 1 mile from the campground. It was clean and the showers were plenty warm but be warned, the mosquitoes were waiting for us when we came out of the shower. The mosquitoes were pretty bad here. May just be the time of year but they were large and hungry. At one point I thought I had a fire ant on my foot. Nope. Just an enormous mosquito.
All the sites are paved, most had some shade, and all looked pretty level and could accommodate large rigs. Each site has a covered table, a fire ring and a stand up grill and all sites have some view of the lake - some on two sides. There's a playground, a boat ramp and a dump station. Both Verizon and ATT had a couple of bars.
We really like it here and had it not been for the mosquitoes, we would have stayed longer.

After camping for a year, it finally happened at Willow Beach Campground: beautiful site 20 feet from the river, pleasant weather with no need for air-conditioning, birds singing when we awoke, and NO BUGS. Granted the last was a result of the time of year, April 2019, and I am sure this experience was a fluke, but I certainly enjoyed it.
I had site F8, which is surely the best location in the campground, right on the river. I could see barges go by. The campground has electricity and water hook-ups. A sewer dump site is located at the exit of the park.
The park is well-maintained, as I have found is typical of Corps of Engineers parks. Although the park is locked at night, the attendant gave us a code to use if we wanted to come or go after hours.
The shower house was closed in April 2019, as a new facility was being built. In the future, that should be very nice.
Willow Beach is a gem, and I look forward to returning for future visits.

Another awesome COE campground. We have stayed at many COE throughout the states which have all been great and Willow Beach is another. The sites are level, clean and well maintained. There are 23 RV sites and well spaced. We were on the water and witnessed awesome sunsets here in Arkansas. All sites have water and Electrical, dump station near the entrance. This is a very large park with most of the area used for day use again, very clean and quiet. We were here in mid October and the sites were "first come, first serve" but during peek times you can make reservations. The volunteer staff at the gate are awesome really friendly and outgoing, had us laughing. Not much to do close to the campground but short drives into Little Rock and surrounding areas are enjoyable. Enjoy #themorgansonthemove

I visited Willow Creek Campground last year and enjoyed a return visit in mid-November 2019. The new shower house is finished. It has four unisex rooms. Each room has a toilet, lavatory, shower, and changing table. The shower house was clean during my visit.
My rate of $9/night reflects the national parks pass discount.

Even on a crowded weekend, this place is calm and nice. Spacious campsites, park-like surroundings. Fire rings, very good picnic tables (some with covers) and grills.
All back-in spaces, but good clearance. Water on two sides, wildlife and bird watching is excellent.
Convenient access from I-40 (about 7 miles off route)

We stayed here for one night this week. Secluded and peaceful. Big, spaced out sites, level pads, most waterfront and shaded. Immaculately clean. Well maintained bathrooms. We will definitely stay here again. Enjoyed watching the Canada geese at sunset.

Can only camp here by making reservations through recreation.gov, drive up camping no longer allowed. Website does not indicate this, but signage at campground entrance does. Do not know nightly rate as we were unable to stay, but is not free.

The campground was spotless and the location was fabulous. Amazingly peaceful setting between 2 bodies of water if you are in the campsites farthest from the entrance. The campsite had 4 individual bathrooms in the building and all were super clean Each bathroom has both the toilet and showers inside. The location was about 20 minutes to downtown Little Rock If you also trail a boat you can literally launch it down the road where the general public uses the park and then have it stationed 20 feet from your RV on the bank. All sites had water and power only but there was a convenient dump station on the way out . YOU CAN ONLY STAY THERE IF YOU HAVE A RESERVATION THERE ARE NO DRIVE UPS.

A small well maintained campground. 4 restroom shower combo rooms were kept clean & heated even though the low was only in the 60s.
The sunset was lovely with yellows, oranges & pinks.
We would definitely stay here again but would not chose site 10. There are several mounds of biting ants (didn't see them around the other sites) and the elevated pad was unique to site 10 and site 9. Concrete picnic tables at all sites.
The location is perfect for easy access into the city.
