Nice shaded sites. We had full hookups but there are also smaller sites with just water and electric. Very clean campground on Sauk Lake. Located right near bike trail. Have to pay for WiFi.

We picked this city campground because it is close to the Wobegan Bike Trail and because of the the connection to Sinclair Lewis, the author. Campground is next to the lake. Lots of nice gravel sites, some leveler than others. Quit a few seasonal sites as well. CG Manager is VERY nice and helpful. He does a good job of watching everything. The park and outdoor theater next door is also an attraction. If we are back in the area, we will stay here.

Passing through on our way to Glacier and needed a place to sleep for the night. There weren’t many reviews, but we took a chance. The campground supervisor was friendly and informative. Our site was a pull through grass site with water and electric. Bonus- it had a view of the lake! The campground has a playground, beach and splash pad. It was clean and well-kept. Our site was level and the length was long enough for us to stay hooked up for an early departure. We didn’t venture into town, but it definitely has the small town feel with a quaint downtown area with shops and restaurants. Would recommend this campground for those passing through or for a weekend.

This campground fit the bill for a fantastic place for and overnight stop, almost exactly halfway between our stops. It’s lakeside, has and adjacent park with splash pad and live music shell, is a short walk to Sinclair Lewis’ boyhood home, and is on the lake Wobegon Trail. Sauk Centre was also a nice place to stock up on groceries before remote camping. Only downside are the tight sites, but we’ll laid out and it’s mostly seasonal campers so a weeknight was quiet.

Overall: TLDR (6/1/22 - 6/3/22)
Easy access, fun town to walk around, good walking trails, clean, pretty level sites, on water, and full hookups for under $40! Shh! Don't tell anyone about it! Also, when we arrived there were a few open sites still.
Access:
Easy to get in and out. There was a detour at the time we stayed but not a problem.
Location:
Site right on the water! Great town to explore and walk around. Easy to walk to the town shops and food. Also, nice walking trails. As a plus, 24 hr laundromat with BIG washers just down the road. Seemed pretty safe.
Cleanliness:
We didn't use the bathrooms. Many garbage cans around to make it easy for everyone to keep it clean. Place was well maintained.
Site Quality:
East utility connections. Only downside was it wasn't quite level (not far off) and not a concrete pad.
Noise:
We stayed right next to the boat launch which gave us really easy maneuverability, but we could hear the boats/trucks in and out of the water. And it is a busy park so there is foot traffic. Nothing unexpected or bad just not quiet. But everything settled down at night.

It was my first night car camping in my Ford Escape on my way to Glacier. Was looking to make sure everything was good to go! Had put in a long day driving and sightseeing.
They have 4 specific tent sights and the awesome manger let me use one of those since I don’t need hook ups!
A wonderful view of the lake! Close to restrooms that are super clean! Even the shower was spotless and smelling clean!
Used the picnic table to make dinner on but did not have a fire as I was heading out early the next day!
Car was level enough to sleep comfortably.
A great first night on what turned out to be an amazing adventure!
I cannot rennet the sight number but it was one of the 4 tent sites. Also road traffic until about 930 then it was super quiet and peaceful all night

Arrived mid afternoon after a long morning of driving. Host was very friendly and informed us that there was plenty of vacant lots and let us hand pick the site we wanted. Great view of the lake and very close to the park and splash pad for our children.

Beautiful family campground right next to a lake in a small town in Minnesota. It's right of the I-94 so great location if you're heading towards the National Parks out west. Very quiet and every spot was a waterfront spot even if you weren’t right next to it.
The bathrooms were the cleanest we’ve been in so far, they literally looked brand new. The stalls were big with modern tile and showerheads. There was a cute deck on top of the bathroom building to sit and look at the water. The office to check in is to the right by the entrance, you might miss it when you pull in. We did.
Our site was mostly level, I think we added a block on one side. We had shade which was nice and close to the bathrooms.
Signal was good, we put out starlink and it worked just fine.
