We spent the past weekend here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If you are looking for a quaint, peaceful area with friendly people - this is it! We rented a 35’ travel trailer camper while we are shopping for one of own and had it delivered to this campground for a weekend visit. We thorough enjoyed ourselves and will be back. They have Fred, the highland cow, which loves to be brushed and fed carrots, A donkey, pigs and goats galore that you can watch frolic around or even get up close and personal with if you so wish. The chickens even provided us with fresh eggs that we enjoyed for breakfast next morning. Owners are super friendly and helpful. Nice, small walking trails thru the woods on the land. Our 10 year old grandson even said to give a 10 star rating out of 5. Nice to see him enjoy the weekend without the need of all the frills of swimming pools and other amenities and leave the gaming behind most of the day, although there was WiFi when needed. Far enough away from the city, but a 20 min drive to find anything you may need.

This new little campground was just what we needed for an overnight stop to break up our trip south to Florida. It has only been open 6 months and they are working to expand but it was quaint and VERY quiet. Claire texted prior to our arrival to check in on our ETA and allowed us to skip the check in since we were going to arrive after 5PM. She texted a map of the campground with highlighted directions to our site. ONce we arrived and got settled into the site, she stopped by to make sure we didn't need anything (her rig was right across from us). They have a couple of corn hole boards, a walking trail through the woods or around the pasture area. You can feed the animals (goats, donkey, cows, pigs, chickens, guineas, and geese) so make sure you bring some fruit and/or veggies. Our grandson loved it.
The sites have plenty of room to set up camp and have fire rings and picnic tables. Our site was almost perfectly level requiring just a teensy amount of side-to-side leveling. The back-in sites are shaded, which was perfect for keeping the rig cool in the hot FL sun. The pull-throughs are mostly in the sun but closer to the pasture for prime animal viewing. Each picnic table had a citronella plant to help keep the mosquitoes at bay. If we had any complaints, it would be the bugs/mosquitoes but that is typical of anywhere in the South during the summer and we were prepared with our own bug deterrents.
We will DEFINITELY be staying again if we need a quick overnight stop or maybe even a longer stay.

This was the perfect place to stop for an overnight stay to break up the drive to FL. Our full hook-up site was almost perfectly level with a fire ring and picnic table. We stayed in a back-in site, which we were grateful for since they are all in the shade. Our grandson loved feeding the goats and donkey so make sure you bring some fruit and/or veggies.
Claire was very communicative prior to our arrival and even stopped by our site after we settled in to see if we needed anything. They are expanding by adding a bathhouse and possibly more sites in the future. They have weekly movie nights and a couple of corn hole boards. I believe there's a walking trail as well but we didn't have a chance to check it out since we were in and out so quickly. If we had to list a con, I guess the only thing would be the bugs....but that's typical of the south in the summer so we were already prepared.
We will definitely be stopping by again for a longer stay.
