Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 25, 2023Great little county park on water. Pads are crushed gravel. Most are level. Only 26 sites with Water and Electric (but it is only $20). Also some shelter houses, cabins ($65) and a playground. There is a septic dump and potable water. Only 2.5 miles off I-29. Nothing around here to eat and no stores nearby, so stock up before arriving. Self check in was a breeze. There is a campground host on site and the groundskeeper lives across the street. Sites near the water have a lot of goose droppings. All of the sites have some shade from mature trees. Electric posts have 50A and 30A.
Also free public wifi!

We camped here mid-September, 2021 for a couple of nights. We were hiding out from some severe thunderstorms coming in, so wanted a paved or gravel area that wouldn't flood. Drove in here and grabbed the only pull-thru - believe it was site 5 (my notes are in the RV and I'm not in the RV right now). Had power and water was available. Decent site - hardly anyone around! Quiet, but I did get mosquito bites the first night... Great walking path & trail to a little deck to look over the nature preserve. This is more of a marsh than a lake, so don't expect a pretty blue lake. Found this campground thru Campendium & will include a video of our campground review.

Beautiful views, nice lakeside walkway, but if you react to no see um bites (very small flies), don’t go. I had tenths of bites on my lower legs and I have been itching terribly.
