“learn of one of the most tragic events in American history”
Only a block from the Visitor Center, and facing the Salem Common, you'll find an imposing stone Romanesque building housing the famous Salem Witch Museum. The horrifying events of the 1692 witch trials are depicted in the museum's thoroughly researched and powerful presentation. Visitors are offered a complete look at one of the most important, emotional, and tragic events in American history. A ride on the Salem Trolley will take you around to all the major points of interest. On your way to other museums, you may wish to stop for a closer look at the very old headstones at The Burying Point.
Reviews
Definitely worth a visit while you're in Salem Massachusetts. The map that guy due to the different gravestones is a bit hard to follow, I've put the photo up above. It blew my mind to find a pilgrim from the Mayflower! Very cool place to walk through and if you have a smart phone and access to the Internet, you don't need a guide to take you through!
Most of these gravestones looked very new to us...
Easy to find and beautiful to stroll through. Names of historical people was nice. Recommended trip detour while here.
Very cool
