Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on March 26, 2024This is a great overnight spot close to Ely. There is a large, gravel area that should be able to fit several RVs. Note, however, that the area is longer than it is wide. We backed our trailer into place so we wouldn't have to
back out if someone else showed up (no one did - we were along on a Saturday night in late October). We also didn't back up all the way to the back where the picnic tables are because we found a perfectly flat spot farther out.
There are two picnic tables with wind breaks and trash cans by each table. There is no water, dump, or toilet.
This is fairly close to Hwy 50 so you'll hear the (sparse) traffic; we didn't find it bothersome in the least.
The signage at the trailhead doesn't say anything about camping; however, the BLM website for Egan Crest Trailhead has a camping symbol under the listed activities.

Easy to find, with a sign on the road. Short, bumpy one lane road to get there, good sized gravel lot with two picnic tables and wind screens. Not far from the road but little traffic at night so very quiet. Beautiful night sky. No one else joined us. The area was wide enough for us to turn around (we went around the picnic tables).

Very quiet and easy to get to with plenty of space to turn bigger rigs around. The TMobile service was super fast 100mbps/down 40mbps/up. One grill for the two sites, picnic tables and wind screens. Great hiking nearby and so close to Ely if you need so

I passed through at the end of March. I would've gotten stuck had I proceeded further. Road was slick and snow on ground. Better off pulling off on many of the side areas off of the road if you have a large vehicle.
