Some of the nicest seasonal sites I've seen - back up to the river and all very neat and well landscaped. Level sites, good FHUs with 50 amp. Good water pressure.
Nice open space for events they have every weekend in the summer - fun and friendly staff and campers. The only ding is the sites are close together on the sides. It helps that there is nice open space in front and back, but awnings would touch if both were out in the facing sites.
The park is at the end of the road and at the bottom of a small, tree lined drive. Daunting the first time you approach, but really easy access.
We had good coverage for our MiFi, park WiFi didn't work for us.

Large well kept campground. Friendly staff. Beautiful scenery everywhere you look alongside the river. Sites are grassy and may have issues with soggy ground due the amount of precipitation this area gets. Beautiful nighttime sounds with chirping frogs.
Bathroom and showers are marginal. Our site was water/electric pull-through

We liked this campground for many reasons. It was quiet and had friendly staff. Nice little playground for the grandkids with mini putt though we did not play. Really nice open grass area behind the site. Views of the Kishwaukee river were nice. There was lots of rain and mosquitos though. Sites have the usual gravel base that were just barely big enough for our rig. Some sites had some mud though no one got stuck. Some sites are clear enough to get satellite tv. Ours had too many trees. Cell was a little spotty and data was “extended”. The campground did have free wifi though it was the usual “campground” speed. Guests that visit are required to pay $2.00 per person to visit. Full hookup was nice though no cable. Air TV did work well. We will visit again.

Well, I have to say it is a beautiful campground! Well manicured, Scenic, laid out nicely. Sites are a little tight, intermixed with big old oak trees! Several seasonal homes/trailers here, but beautifully maintain and landscaped! A beautiful walk along the river. Even a small “beach“ for swimming in the river. Ultimate camping experience! That is until 2 AM. Nearby Rockford airport has a very large UPS and Amazon hub there. The night we were there, UPS had 23 flight scheduled from 2 AM to 3:12 AM. And naturally we heard one take off every seven-ish minutes. The wind was from the west, so of course we heard them as if they were taking off in our bedroom! I checked with the cargo dispatchers and they say yes that is a regular schedule. Unfortunately, despite all the beauty and great camping that we enjoyed, we will not be going back.

The entire park is well maintained and groomed. Nice paths to walk along. Facilities are very nice, only downside is there is no pool.

This was a quiet campground with plenty of trees. The pull thru sites near the river alternate so your front door is facing your neighbor’s front door. Great if camping with friends, could be an issue with some people. Our neighbors where awesome, we sat around the fire talking for hours. Friendly hosts, nice Mother’s Day breakfast, clean showers.

We stopped here for a night while on the road. Very convenient to the interstate yet quiet and peaceful. Lots of trees and birds, large grassy areas and a nice river. I would have liked to stay longer. They have great wifi that makes up for the poor cell service.

Beautiful campground with river access to swim. Cute mini golf and play ground, lots of open space for other games. Steep narrow driveway, W/E with dump station, clean showers and laundry. Verizon service was bad and Starlink struggled because we were behind some trees, other spots would have a clear view. There was some noise from the airport next door from 11-11:30 every night but didn't bother us.

The drive coming into the campground is down a hill so it’s a little steep. Check in was super easy. We parked in our level spot and hooked up. The best spot is a level spot!
The campground iteself is lovely with a big field in the middle with tons of activities. There is a playground, small basketball court, volleyball, tetherball and mini golf. We played a few rounds of tetherball, mini golf for $4, billiards for $.50 and foosball for $.25 (both of which were inside the store/clubhouse). It was a blast. There’s also a small beach by the river where you can hang and launch kayaks. The bathrooms were very clean as well. Loved this campground after a long day of driving.
Signal was good as well. We didn't even take out starlink, especially for just the one night. The hotspot worked just fine.
