“an experience worth repeating!”
Designed to create a venue for camping, fishing, hiking, bicycling, and canoeing for outdoor enthusiasts, Rivers Bend welcomes visitors from surrounding communities and states. Rivers Bend was born when a generous donation of 94 acres by Van Zee Enterprises was given to the City of Rock Valley. Previously used to mine sand and gravel, this former quarry was converted into a regional asset. The campground was constructed by the major efforts of the City Crew and students from Northwest Iowa Community College. The City of Rock Valley encourages you to visit and enjoy this beautiful campground. It will be an experience worth repeating!

We love Rivers Bend! There is a beach and swimming pond, two separate fishing ponds, walking and biking trails, a playground, ebikes for rent, all concrete pads, and super clean bathrooms. Big rig friendly! The people that run this campground are very friendly. You do have to pay for entry into this RV park if you are a visitor, which is nice because it keeps others out. Also, the local police do drive through routinely so it does feel a lot safer. We highly recommend!

This is an enormous park with room for any kind of rig. All cement, flat, electric only for us but you can pay a bit more for full hookups. Bike rental on site. Paths and lots of areas to walk around. I recommend this place!
Lots of tv stations through antenna and full cell service.

We stayed here 2 nights as a break from traveling from northern Wisconsin to South Dakota. We enjoyed the concrete level pad for our RV and the really nice shower facilities. When the wind was coming a certain direction, all you smelled was manure or garbage. It was pretty annoying. The bike trails we took the kids on were really nice and paved. There was a really cool old railroad bridge that was converted into a path that went over the river. Neighbors were mostly older people that kept to themselves. The staff and hosts were very friendly. We saw some really nice sunsets too. I think we'd stay again if we HAD to but otherwise the smell was such a turn off that we'd probably keep going.

We were treated great, had a class C and were not required to buy a vehicle pass because it never left the site. Sites were level and clean. The entire place was spotless. The dump station was great with unbelievable water pressure. Also the water tasted great.

Traveling through Iowa the wind was too strong to continue so we started liking for campsites. Found this one and it was easy to get to.
No one was at the office so we ended up paying online. We chose a site with full hookups so it was $27 plus $4 processing fee, and then tax. I believe we paid around $32. Electric only sites were $22.
There were quite a few campers here, but not many people.
We had a beautiful view of the lake and the play ground was right across from us so our daughter checked it out.
As I said the wind was very strong so we didn't leave the camper except to walk the dog.
