Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on December 12, 2021This place is full of trees and the sites are nice. Two ponds with fish and fishing. A very quiet oasis just off the hwy. WiFi was sketchy. If you want a nice quiet place to be in the woods, this is the place. Although I only stayed one night the park folks were very friendly.

We stayed here for one night in our 40ft 5th wheel. Lots of full timers with an array of upkeep standards. Most short term stays seem to go in row E. Despite the vast area the RV park covers, these slots are fairly close together. The length of the slot was fine, but we had slot E10 with an electrical box and electrical meters on the opposite side of the hookups making maneuvering with slides difficult. This was especially frustrating given the several empty slots w/o the impediments. One of our neighbors had asked the owner if they could pick their spot, to which the owner replied, "you get what I give you."
One dumpsters on the way out, which was either a hike or required you to drive your trash out. No trash cans to dispose of pet waste anywhere on the property.
Verizon was slow; we did not use wifi, bathhouse or pool. There were two small ponds on the lake that we quite pretty.

We stayed for 10 days with our Coast to Coast membership. The site was ok, got a little sloppy after a good rain. Could use some gravel to aide in leveling but otherwise not bad. Definitely some seasonal and residents here, but most all sites were in good order. Would stay here again, but for only a night or two. Not really a destination type place. C to C needs to reevaluate this campground to perhaps a GNP.

Wilderness RV Park is part of our RPI membership, so we paid $10 per day, plus another $3 per day for 50 amp. We stayed seven nights. Check-in was fast and easy with Jerry. He and his wife Shirley were very friendly and invited us to the 5pm potluck one night, and the danish/coffee breakfast the next morning. We did go to the potluck and met some very nice people, most of them are full-time stationary in this park. We were in site F8. It was level, mostly gravel, and long enough for our 42' fifth wheel and one ton dually. All sites are pull-thrus. There's a lot of trees at this place, but unlike some other reviews, we didn't find them to be a problem. The roads are manageable and if you're careful and slow, you should fit just fine. Neighbors are close, but not any closer than most other RV parks. The roads in and around the park are good. There's a lot of junk around the dumpster that needs to be cleaned up (chair, sofa, old furniture). No one enforces the rules about having only one car per site. There's a lot of "stuff" around some of the permanent resident's sites. There are some rundown campers, one with the floor completely falling out. Apparently the gate is locked at night at 10pm or 1030pm but you are given the code at check-in. We were never out that late so I'm not sure if it all worked as it should've. We didn't see a dog park, but there's plenty of safe roads inside the park to walk your pets. Each site has a small picnic table, no fire ring, and wifi was slow. There is a nice pool, but the weather was still a little cold for us to want to get in. It is quiet at this park. I never saw one child at this park in the week we were there. I don't know if it's an over 55 only park or not. We also never saw any wildlife like deer, squirrels, fox, etc in this park. We thought that was odd. We usually see wildlife at every campground or RV park we go to unless they're super busy with activity or near a busy road. We never heard a train or any road noise. This place is back in the boonies. There is a laundry room but it is super super tiny. We decided to do our laundry in town where there were more machines and more room. The RV park was okay, and we would stay here again in a pinch. The reason for the 3 stars is because they've allowed it to get kinda junked up. Some people do not take pride in their sites, and no one is enforcing people to keep their spaces nice and neat.
You will find a Buc-ee's very close. Diesel is about $1.00 cheaper there than any of the other area gas stations. Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, etc aren't terribly far away and worth the drive. It's a really beautiful area. Follow, Like, and Subscribe to our YouTube channel to follow us on our full-time RVing journey: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rrO-hYIfbk&t=25s

They didn’t have any sites and I was really about to leave when Jerry found me a small spot and let me park overnight. I’m basically able to run almost everything off my batteries except my refrigerator and air conditioner (humidity is awful to this Missouri man. I’m not going to need to run it all night as temperatures are going after sunset. But for a free parking spot and a quiet place off the highway, I’m very thankful and comfortable.

A bargain at $11 and some change per night for a 30amp full hookup campsite. Verizon cellular service clocked in at 110 Mbps download speed and 6.45 Mbps upload speed. AT&T cellular service clocked in at 36.9 Mbps and 0.65 Mbps upload speed. T-Mobile cellular service clocked in at 24.6 Mbps download speed and 1.62 Mbps upload speed.

Check in was good. Manager/owner(?) was friendly. Site was a bit muddy (part dirt part grass) and a little hard to level so depending when you arrive be aware of this. Lots of fire ants so I am glad I had my fire ant killer.
No frills kind of park. Mainly long time residents in mainly really run down trailers. The one bath house was newer and clean. But for $10 a day (discounted rate) one really should not complain.
Verizon had a signal but speeds were unusable. ATT was decent speeds of 3mb down and the same up.
The Buc-ees is the star of the show here at the next exit on I10. 45 mins to Gulf Shores and 30 minutes to Mobile. Probably 30+ minutes to Pensacola.

When we said it was last reviewed as $10 he said that must have been old information - but site said last reported April 2021. $20 or $25 might have been ok but not $39. And the road in is narrow and mixed broke up black top and gravel with lots of mud holes.

Booked with Coast to Coast price $3
Full hook up. Swimming pool. Not far from Route 10
Not bad for a one or two night stay.
