Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on December 21, 2021We stayed here a week while exploring both Pensacola and Mobile. It's a 30 minute to either via I-10. Access to the Gulf Coast is also easy.
This is a well maintained park, and is very quiet. There's a bit of highway noise during the day, but it was warm so we had the AC running and didn't notice it. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and modern.
Rate reflects weekly stay, on a riverfront site.

We stayed here the night of April 5, 2019. It is about 1.5 miles off the interstate but it is worth the drive. The place is very clean and the people are nice. This park has a very nice family atmosphere. There appear to be many people who spend a lot of time here but their sites tend to look nice and well taken care of. The location is right on the river and not more than a 5 minute walk from anywhere in the park. This would be a good place to spend several days relaxing.

We stopped on way back home. Great, friendly staff, very helpful. Well maintained, clean camp. WiFi good enough to stream. Cell a bit spotty. Close enough to I10 to hear it in the background. Shooting range next door did not drive me too nuts but was a little annoying. We typically prefer the more rustic state parks and COE so feel a little ‘lined up’, but glad we found this place to pull in and rest

The park was clean and well kept. We did not use on-site amenities. The river view site had very little river view due to brush; not worth the extra five bucks. The site was medium sized with concrete pad that was slightly off level. Many of the sites, including the river view sites, are blind back-ins. There are some pull thru sites at the front. Access to I-10 was excellent. Verizon cell service was poor to miserable - 2 bars at best, one bar at night. We could not connect to the park wifi and it was turned off late at night. Do not stay during periods of heavy rain as this is a river bottom park; management stressed that if flooding occurred there would be no refund. We had a lot of rain and spent quite a bit of time watching the river rise. Noisy from I-10 and nearby ATV area.
