Gordon County SB Rest Area

February 6th, 2022: RVer reports Feb 2022 -No. Many, many Overnight Parking Prohibited signs! Info provided by GA DOT confirms that this Rest Area re-opened on July 26, 2018, following a closure for construction. Overnight RV Parking is allowed, as confirmed by multiple reports from Mar 2012 & earlier. State of GA states that parking in rest areas should be limited to short increments of time and that there is no overnight security at rest areas. Camping is not allowed. Use of levelers, slides, awnings, or equipment placed outside RV constitutes camping. RVs parked overnight are generally not bothered. Restrooms open 24 hours, Picnic Tables, Vending Machines, RV Pet Walk Area. Dump station formerly located here has been closed.
