“a hidden gem!”
In 1878 a group of miners blasted through the bottom of Rapid Creek, creating a waterfall and an underground river. The sound of the water crashing against the rocks grows louder as you walk through the cave, until you walk directly up to the base of the roaring falls.
A short, easy walk for the family, with beautiful views of copper green cave walls. A hidden gem nearby the several well-known attractions in South Dakota.
We had a GREAT experience... someone said how expensive it was, but for an adult, 2 kids, and a soda it was ONLY $7 for us... so I thought it was totally worth that for this interesting cave experience.
Enjoyed seeing it, but it wasn't worth the money we paid. It was too expensive.

I took several pics in here and in one of them there's a ghostly misty figure that looks like an old miner! It's really cool!
