“Housed in a former Post Office”
There is something here for all ages – beautiful architecture, exciting interactive exhibits and more folklore and science than anywhere in the world! Admission is only $4 for adults or children - and kids under age 2 are admitted for free. The Weather Discovery Center is located in a beautiful former 1914 Federal Building and Post Office, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Find us one block off the main street in Punxsutawney – known as the “Weather Capital of the World.” Come experience “Phil’s Burrow,” “Twist & Shout” and the “Perfect Storm.” View a cool weather video in our theater and shop for the perfect weather item in our gift shop. A handicapped accessible ramp is located to the right of the building, as is a free parking lot for off-street visitor parking.
