The campground is surrounded by farms, and there is a section of permanent resident trailers. The site has full hook-ups, it's nice and leveled with trees, fire ring and picnic table. Some sites face the lake, others the farms, our site faced the farms, but it was a very nice. Some of the prime sites ($$$) have Gazebos, very nice. Digital TV reception was very good, and from our site I was able to set up DISH satellite with no issues. The bathhouse very nice and clean, the laundry a tad expensive, but all new machines. The office has a small camp/RV store, staff was terrific. We loved the amount of birds that came to our site including Blue Birds. They are pet friendly, and they have fishing in the Lagoon "Catch & Release." Richmond, VA the capital is just 38 miles away, a short ride via TOLL road, very nice getaway with several hiking trails, and historical sites. There is also The Powhatan State Park with hiking trails, and water access for canoeing and kayaking. The weekends got full, and a little more louder, and the phone service was not great. Downside, Wi-Fi only at the store with vouchers for 30 minutes at a time.

This place is great! Kids had a blast at the pool. Did a little fishing in the ponds (catch n release). They made 4th July special with a mini golf cart parade & Fire Work display. Nice pull through sites with plenty of room between sites! We’ll be back.

We enjoyed our stay at this campground. The family who owns and operates the campground and farm was very nice and responsive. There was a storm while we were there and the next morning they were cleaning up every site from debris. The sites were level and hook ups assessible.
The only complaints was the internet service was not good probably because of all the trees and the location. We moved our router to face the open field in front of us and that worked better but not great. Also the gnats were annoying swarming around the doors and windows but there were no mosquitos.
The weather was cool half the time which was nice. Our site was on the edge of the park facing a field where they raised about 10 cows which were adorable to watch. There are 3 fishing ponds as well. Of course with a farm comes a certain smell at times but it didn't bother me. Also there are antique farm equipment located around the property which was nice to look at during a walk around. The offer daily and monthly sites year round which is great for us full timers. The only reason it wouldn't be our first choice is because of the internet signal.

Left 2 voicemails and sent inquiry through their website. Nothing back from them.
This is a lovely park with lots of tall trees. Small patches of grass between hard pack dirt sites. FHU with 50 amp. No park WiFi. Our MiFi worked most of the time. Some sites in the rear have open sky that may get satellite. Ours did not. It was nice to have the shade though. Nice store, play area, laundry, sand volley ball court, swimming pool. Dark and quiet at night.
The directions on the website are faster than your GPS will send you, but the GPS route is also safe. Highway 60 is 2 miles away and takes you to lots of towns and Richmond.

We are from the area but moved to go full time on the road. We had seen this campground previously, but were not able at the time to secure a monthly spot. We were coming back to the state and were able to secure a spot for the month of April. It's a beautiful, wooded campground and the staff has been excellent. We weren't here when the pool was open but it looks like it'd be fun. If you need Internet for your stay make sure you have Starlink because at least T-Mobile is non-existent here, or in quite a bit of this side of Powhatan. Instacart will deliver here, but Doordash will not so make sure you are prepared to drive 20-30 minutes if you need anything.
