We booked a site with a wooden deck area which was a great amenity (not all sites have this wooden deck platform, some are dirt sitting areas and some are concrete patios). We were surprised at how steep the area is once you’re inside the campground - all roads in the camp area are dirt/gravel and might pose a challenge to some rigs (breaking traction and/or locking up wheels is a risk here). Loved the super clean laundry room and generally quiet setting. Our site had peek-a-boo views of Flathead Lake between neighbors 5th Wheels.
For the average person, it isn’t walkable/bikeable into the town Polson. This campground is 1.7 mi. from town along a busy Hwy. and over a bridge with a small sidewalk. Pete’s Lakeview Bar & Grill at the base of Irvine Flats Rd. had a nice little menu w/ good prices and a deck with great views of Flathead.
Staff at this KOA were just average, some of them seemed a bit standoffish - unusual for a KOA based on our previous experiences.

This KOA is right next to the Polson municipal airport, up on a hill with views of Flathead Lake. The airport noise was not an issue as it’s small planes and was not busy when we were there. The park is carved on a hillside and is gravel with grass areas. The downslope side needed a bit of leveling. Our space had a wood patio with a table and shade tree. We could see the lake when the sites ahead of were empty during the day. Laundry was clean and the office staff were professional and kind. Convenient to Flathead Lake, Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge and National Bison Range.

This campground is very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly too. Beautiful views of Flathead lake!!! Close to shopping and dining options. There is a pretty field surrounding the property and you are up the hill- so nearly no road noise! There are frequent small planes flying over which is annoying but I’d definitely stay here again! Great little restaurant across the street too!

One of the best views we've had on our trip west. Large sites with a picnic table/patio in several sites. We did not feel crowded. Activities for the kid(s) include a mini-golf course. Good location in relation to Glacier National as well--a bit over an hour to get to the West entrance. It was a good base of operations for us to see this region of Montana.

Interesting set up behind the super expensive motor coach park. Sort of feels like the poorer relatives being delegated to the kitchen for dinner :-) But many of the sites here have the same beautiful view at a whole lot less $ so the kitchen works for us!
Wonderful staff, friendly and helpful. They worked to get us into a 50 amp spot although I'd reserved a 30 amp, not knowing we'd have such awful smoke to deal with. The new, smaller space was fine for us, no problem getting in or out. Sites are terraced but able to get level easily. The deck is a mixed blessing as it gives you level outdoor space to enjoy, but makes walking around your rig awkward. Nice smaller trees for shade. We couldn't get satellite from our rooftop but some sites there is open sky that would work. FHUs all worked fine, easy access. Sadly we had to pull out a day early (did not ask for refund as not expected) due to the worsening smoke.
We'll stay here when we come back.

We enjoyed our 5 day stay. The beautiful views were interrupted by smoke from the fire. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We liked our spot, the amenities and location.

Nice clean KOA. Generally pretty quiet but we were here mid September. Most lake activities were closed. Not a lot going on in Polson but the KOA is a good place to stay. Nice lakeside restaurant THE SHOE across the road.
