Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on November 01, 2020Remote Campground off of Arkansas scenic highway 7 offering 30A electrical hookups, and nice clean and working shower and bathroom, and large campsites. Just stayed one night here and it was a nice get a way, but no a real destination place. There are some hiking trails and you could bring a small boat and fish on either side of the dam, depending on the water level on the low side. The campground hosts have been there for more than 5 years and both friendly and helpful.
This area would not likely handle larger Class A motorhomes as I only saw one site that was a drive through site that was both level enough and big enough (site #8). Seems like a nice campground for Class B, Class C, and pull behind campers. There is a small boat ramp to launch from, but I would suggest a Jon Boat for this area over a bass boat or anything larger.
I did not notice a dump station, but I did not look hard either. There is a dump station at the campsite on the high side of the dam that was accessible and I would imagine with the receipt for the camping in the National Park, you could dump at the campground if needed. There was electrical at each site and water that was “shareable,” so you would need a long hose to hook up and fill with water. Can’t leave it attached for the stay.
There is ZERO cell service from the camp area, however if you walk up the road (1/3 mile) to the top of the dam, we did get a good signal here on Verizon.
If traveling in and around the Hot Springs to Harrison area of Arkansas and just want a quiet place to explore this would be a nice out of the way stop. However you are truly on your own as there are not any towns with shopping or a decent grocery store near by...
Again nice place and will go back, but just be prepared to be remote.

We stayed on the P loop which is Project point. This look is nice but it only has Electricity. The Restrooms was just and out house for the p loop. The P loop is on the back side of the Dam on a little point
The lake was down about 8' When we went but I'm told that didn't hurt the fishing.
There are showers at River road; its a short drive to them back near the main gate.
