Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 30, 2023Stopped here after driving several mines with my 36’ fifth wheel it was a welcome center too and had trails to hike on. Stopped. Checked out the area. Had dinner. Woke up early and carried on Only reasons 3 star is very noisy at night with truckers engines. But. They need to be there too

Plenty of parking, lots of well-manicured grass for pets, and nearby walking/archaeological trails. More space for smaller rigs than larger ones. Probably quite loud with the windows open but otherwise it’s a fab experience for an overnight.

For a roadside rest stop this is perfect. Secluded behind the bluff. Blocked out a lot of interstate noise.

We arrived late after giving up on a stop around Laramie and Cheyenne due to very cold temperatures. It was about 15℉ warmer down the mountain from Laramie. The site was packed with trucks, but we managed to parallel park our travel trailer between two trucks for the night. The site was isolated from the highway noise, but the many of trucks had their engines idling all night. It actually wasn't so bad because it was a constant low level noise, kind of like a white noise machine. We got a restful night's sleep and were on our way again in the morning. It's a great overnight spot when traveling across the country on I-80, but it's best to get there a little earlier than we did so you can get a flat spot in the parking lot.

Stayed overnight here 5/20/2022. Ditto to prior reviews. Well maintained grounds, sheltered picnic tables, walking path, and clean restrooms with glass mirrors. Busy rest stop. 7 big RV/truck marked parking spaces, but truckers doubled in these as well as around perimeter of parking area. Walking path was open but Archeology site was closed Oct–May. Pine Bluffs has big RV friendly streets & Texas Trail Market (only grocery store & pricey). Local Texas Trail Museum contained interesting artifacts of early days of Laramie County.

Safe, but noisy place to spend the night. If you have sound mitigation devices, you’ll do great. There is a train and trucks. If you get there early enough, there are some nature trails you could explore.

This was an excellent place to stay one night off the highway. Other than the fact that the entrance for the big trucks had them looping past the car area on their way to park, this is still superior to other rest areas because they were parked far enough from the cars that their generators were not audible for me. There are 2 long rows of parking for cars around an island with the bathroom facilities. The bathroom could have been cleaner but it was a nice, well constructed, attractive structure. As this is the rest stop for both East and West bound traffic it makes sense that it has more parking, but it wasn’t a huge rest area. There is gas very close so it is a very convenient stop to gas up and get some sleep and be ready to continue in the morning. There is a beautiful nature trail - actually a full on hiking area with small information signs about the local flora and fauna. There is a large picnic area with covered and shaded or sunny picnic tables in the wildlife area. On the night I was there it was one of the quietest rest stop experiences I’ve had. It was not very full.

The rest area loop goes uphill to the top, then downhill, so most parking spots will be nose down (keep in mind for propane fridges). I parked near the top inside the yellow line on the east side which was level enough.
Truck/big rig parking was nearly full at 5pm, but passenger vehicle parking was nearly empty.
Nice walking trails around, and I spotted a disc golf hole in the hills.
Drinking water ground spigot in the middle of rest area.
Watch out for dog poop and, unfortunately, peoples trash. Bathrooms were not clean.
