“indulge your sweet tooth!”
Redmon’s was established in 1995 by John and Sharon Redmon. Our mission was to create a fun, clean, and comfortable stop for everyone. We have an onsite candy kitchen where we produce gourmet chocolates and homemade fudge. We have become famous for our wide variety of all types of candies. We have over 70 flavors of mouthwatering salt water taffy, over 20 flavors of delicious homemade fudge, over 70 flavors of bulk candy, and much more. There is something for everyone. Redmon’s has become a landmark stop in southwest Missouri and has been visited by over 2 million travelers. Just follow the billboards, and we hope to see you soon!
Good stop for a sweet tooth fix. Clean and well stocked, plus it’s a gas station ⛽️
So much to pick from but loved finding some old favorites from our childhood. Their chocolate is amazing and my husband loved the covered twinkies LOL The gift shop aka warehouse is awesome!!! I could’ve spent hours in there. This is a must stop if you are passing by! You won’t be disappointed.
High selection of candies, fudge & flavored popcorns!
Cool little stop to fill up on gas and let the kids pick out candy, although you don’t get to see the process given the name of the place. Huge selection of fudge though
This is a nice place to stretch your legs and grab a sweet treat. Loads of nostalgia packed into the building in the form of candy you don’t see on a typical store shelf. Lots of fun taffy flavors (chicken & waffles, maple bacon, etc). They also have fudge, chocolate covered treats, and multiple popcorn flavors. Our kids had a great time picking out a few treats for the road. As others have said, ti’s not an actual factory. There is a kitchen to one side with windows, but when we were there nothing was happening in that space.
A Store, Not Actually a Candy Factory!
So, don't get your hopes up. Very fun place to shop for a quick stop and leg stretch/bathroom break. Lots of candies that were popular a long time ago.
Awesome quick stop for my 2 year old during our trip to MI. He was so excited to see all the candy. And there's a section on the gift shop for age appropriate toys. We bought him a wooden car wash toy and he hasn't stopped playing with it since we left.
Great place to stop for a stretch break. Kids had a blast shopping for candy. Most candy is sold by the 1/2 pound which can get pricy if you aren't careful. They also have fudge, popcorn, taffy and other assorted sweets. T-shirts and other merchandise for sale featuring the classic Route 66 Americana brand.
