“an oasis amid the surrounding moonlike landscapes”
Located just outside the boundaries of Badlands National Park in South Dakota, the Circle 10 Campground and RV Park offers tent sites and RV sites with limited or full hook-ups. Just outside Badlands National Park, lies an oasis amid the surrounding moonlike landscapes. After a day of hiking and exploring, stop by for a dip in the pool, or rest and recharge for another day of adventure in one of our comfortable camp sites.
Nice folks running the place. The location is great if you're going to the Badlands. We stayed here one night, and it was very quiet. A little run down, but the price was right.
We didn't actually stay the night here. We showed up late, set up our tent and saw lightning in the distance. A severe storm with hail and high winds caused us to pack up and keep moving. The place was pretty run down and over priced for my liking. But, it's right off the highway if you like convenience.
Campground is approximately 1 ½ miles from the I 90 and approximately 3 miles from the Northeast Entrance to Badlands National Park. All I can say is location, location, location! The campground is old and tired, The bathhouses and toilet were so bad, my husband wouldn’t use them. They need painting, updating, and more importantly, cleaning. Our site was gravel, the back-in sites are grass. There is WiFi and for the most part pretty good, you couldn’t stream, but then again, parks ask you not to. The laundry facilities are as bad as the bathhouses. There is no cable and no over the air tv. That said, the campground does serve its purpose to visit Badlands National Park. If you are fully self-contained, the bathhouses aren't an issue. The pool has been repaired.
Price is not what you pay for. Bathrooms are not well maintained. Sinks are gross, no shower curtains.
This is a nice quiet campground. It's not fancy, but it is clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool looked nice, although we didn't swim. The Badlands National park is right up the street. We enjoyed a nice evening sitting under a tree by our camper.
The campground / facilities are looking rundown, we have noticed they are working to restore some of the cabins. The bathrooms and laundry facility need an update too. The location was just a few miles from the badlands national park entrance. We used this as a base camp and didn't stay much at the campgrounds.
Can't pay me to stay again. None to check you in. No shower curtains. Broken down is understatement. Pool broken. Says hotel but that's also wrong they aren't open either. Saw the review from 10 months ago wish wed been here then. Terrible now. Only good thing quiet and centrally located. So many mosquitoes. So many flies they hover in clouds. Rude lady on phone got mad at us even though she's not here doing her job. After we finally get a hold of her via phone( we arrived at 11 am got a hold of her by 4 pm) she tells us we have to move sites as ours is reserved( nothing on site to tell us that nor anyone here). I had called ahead was told find empty site and its ours. Staffing majorly sucks. Caretaker is nice though.
