“prestigious 5-star hotel”
The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia is a prestigious 5-star hotel offering elegant accommodation in the heart of Philadelphia. Highlights include a gym, luxury spa and an excellent location opposite Philadelphia City Hall. Philadelphia’s city centre is steeped in history and boasts some fine examples of Colonial and Georgian architecture. It has a strong focus on the arts which is reflected in its abundance of art museums, galleries and outdoor spaces dedicated to sculptures and murals. Nearby places of interest include Philadelphia City Hall, the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Independence National Historical Park, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Fairmont Park. 15th Street metro station is located in the vicinity, providing fast and easy access to other popular Philadelphia destinations. The hotel comprises an early 20th-century low-rise building with a domed roof and pillars attached to a 20th-century high-rise building with a smart facade. Facilities include a gym and a luxury spa with treatment rooms. Chargeable Wi-Fi is available throughout the premises. 1-Bedroom Executive Suites are 75-95sqm and decorated in an elegant style with plush fabrics, patterned carpets and artwork above the bed. They feature a separate sitting area and views of the city. Amenities include air-conditioning, chargeable Wi-Fi, an iPod dock and a flat-screen cable TV with pay-per-view movies. The marble en-suite bathrooms feature a bathtub, separate walk-in shower and bathrobes. 10 Arts Bistro offers regional cuisine in a sophisticated space with rich red tones, chandeliers and marble columns. 10 Arts Lounge serves a range of light dishes and cocktails in a trendy setting with stylish dark wood furniture and striking pink tones. There are plenty of dining opportunities in the vicinity. The hotel provides 24-hour reception and room service. Chargeable parking is possible onsite.
Oh my good lord! So THIS is how the other half live! This hotel used to be a bank, and it still retains the features of a massive city bank. It's right next to the city hall, and just a 10-15 minute walk to most other downtown attractions, like the Mutter Museum (which is pretty creepy, but cool at the same time). Sadly, even though you're paying a lot to stay here, you have to pay extra for WiFi. TIP: Ask for a room with a rainfall shower, and if you can afford it, upgrade for access to their club lounge. If you're traveling with a little one, you can request a crib for free. There's also a bar and bistro in the lobby, and if you don't feel like paying for WiFi you can access it for free here. My favorite part: 24 hour room service.
