“spacious, unique and extremely comfortable”
While enjoying your stay in either property you can walk the path to Cunningham Pond or hike up Mount Monadnock - the most climbed mountain in America! Hundreds of acres of woods and fields abut the property. Cunningham Pond is lovely for fishing and swimming in summer or for ice skating in the winter. "Our Town" is full of interesting shops, museums, historical sites and restaurants. Peterborough is known for it's artists and galleries and the Peterborough Players - a nationally known theatre group. The Carriage House is spacious, unique and extremely comfortable. Once home to horses and carriages, this rennovated 1808 barn combines modern conveniences with old world charm. It comfortably sleeps 8+ with plenty of room to entertain or to just relax. Jacuzzi tubs, a chefs' kitchen, and a large entertaining space makes the Carriage house the perfect place for family, friends, or a romantic get-away. There are two Master Suites (one with an adjoining bedroom) each with its own full bath. There is an additional bedroom with a half bath. The Porch House was built at the turn of the Century in full Victorian style, an architectural gem. Front and back porches bring the outdoors in. It makes a great gathering place for family and friends or for a quiet get-a-way for two! Original claw foot and pedestal bathtubs adorn the bathrooms and heart-of-pine floors throughout create a warm and cozy space. The Porch house comfortably sleeps 6+ with a warm and cozy living room and a kitchenette. The Arobor House was the original house on the property and retains much of its' original charm with natural wood floors, walls and ceilings. It adjoins the Porch House so it can be added for larger groups who want to travel together. The Arbor house comfortably sleeps 6 with a comfortable living room and beautiful kitchen.
