Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on May 15, 2022This campground is on KOA lane, so I'm guessing maybe it was a KOA in the past. The sites were close together, like at a KOA. We typically camp at a COE campground or a state park, and while Perryville Campground was not the same nature experience, it was very enjoyable.
The staff were very friendly. Check-in was easy. There is a nice store on the grounds. The restrooms were excellent. Stylish, and most importantly - spotlessly clean! At our site, it was easy to get our camper level. We arrived on Friday late afternoon, and there were 3 food trucks in the lot by the service road. An ice cream truck drove through Saturday afternoon. Saturday evening there was a rock/country music band in the pavilion.
Most enjoyable is a walking trail connection to the Perry County Community Lake which is a Missouri Department of Conservation area. There is a 4.4 mile trail around the lake which we did walk. Folks were fishing there as well.
While we didn't use these features, there was a small fishing lake at the campground. There was a very nice pool, bounce pad and playgrounds for the kiddos. The campground also offers some camping cabins which looked very charming.
A Super Walmart is 5 minutes down the road. While we could hear the highway noise, it was not disruptive to us. The town of Perryville is close by, but we did not visit anything there. The campground does offer wifi, but we did find it to be slow; however, it was the weekend, so I kind of expect that.
We very much enjoyed our stay here, and we would stay here again.

Stopped here Jan 1 for an overnight on our way from TX to WI. Typically boondock on our overnight stops, but camper was already winterized and wanted somewhere with electric and a shower house.
Bathrooms / shower houses were impeccably clean!! Sites were a nice size. They slope a bit, but nothing a couple levelers couldn’t fix.
Right off the highway, but very quiet.
Looked like their pool would be nice in the summer. Good size with a huge deck.

Beautiful campground that is very shaded with large trees. A little challenging for big rigs to get in with many large trees and some rather rough roads. Nice pull thru sites and very quiet surroundings.

By far one of my favorite RV parks on our journey across the USA so far. Was able to book the day of online while having a difficult time reaching anyone by phone at nearby rv parks on the weekend.
Set up more like a State Park with lots of trees, nature trail, pool, cabins, etc. close access to I-55, but far enough away so that noise wasn’t an issue.
Only negative was that roads into the park need some repair. Just passing through for one night, but would return for longer period of time.

This was an overnight stop for us. They had an easy check-in process. It was a very friendly family campground - they had a large jumping pad and two playgrounds. They had already set up for their Halloween weekends coming up too! Our site had a cement pad, but we had to take our front wheels off of it in order to get close to level. Most of the sites were smaller and not level, so be choosy when picking your site. The roads in the park were gravel and a very fine dust which tracked into the RV. Not sure what happens when it rains. They had free WiFi but we didn’t use it as our AT&T hotspot had 30 mps down and 3 mps up. Regarding OTA TV channels, we had 10 useable channels. Would stay here again, but would make sure we are in a large level site.

If you have a big 5th wheel, we have approximately 13,000 pound 5th wheel, using a diesel tow. Our programmer alerted us that the trans temp was getting hot. Engine coolant also got warm. The way coming in off 47 I would not recommend. The wife and I went out north out at Old Hwy 61 to TT to Lincoln Hills Rd. While curvy it was not as hilly and the speed limit was not 15 - 20 most of the way which means I’m doing 10-15, while also avoiding low hanging trees.
The stay was great! We went to the programs offered, my daughter rode her bike and frequently went to a small play ground with the other groups of kids. We stayed in the full hook up 50 amp sites. While deep the roadway was narrow so once I got in I Austin Powers the 5th wheel where I wanted it.
Lake was nice; we didn’t swim, we did walk some trials and the park. We were in spot 96 next time I am going to book something in the center where it was open and you had a great view of the sky.
Where spray against chiggers; everyone got them. Ticks were bad this year too.

Staff was nice enough to meet us at the front office. Since it was winter gave us a great sit for our 56’ class A and tow. Was unable to hook up water because of below freezing weather but electric and Lo kept us warm

Just a quick overnighter stay. Didn't get a chance to use the pool, but looked great. Our site was over in a corner walking distance to a 4 mile loop around the lake. All in all good stuff. Pup loved it
