If you are looking for and outstanding campground in Minnesota then Golden Eagle RV Village is where you want to be. Mike and Connie Cummings built, own and have operated Golden Eagle RV Village and Campground since 1981. The camp ground is on the south shore of Big Pine Lake which located in Otter tail County Minnesota, Otter tail county has the distincition of having more lakes than any other county in the United States. Golden Eagle RV Village and Campground is located in what is commonly refered to as "The heart of the lakes".

Pretty large RV resort community. We stayed here for 14 days at $15 per night plus tax with our RPI membership (resorts parks international). We really enjoyed this campground. They only have 5 sites for non-seasonal visitors. The 5 sites are extremely long pull through sites. Each with a large cement patio, picnic table and a fire ring. Each site has full hook ups 30/50’amp, W&S The 5 sites are a little bit off from the rest of the campground so it was very very private and we really enjoyed that . The Camp store is supplied with the basics, along with bags of ice. One cool thing is they sell 55 gallon barrel of wood for your fire rings for around $22 (delivered to your site). I enjoyed walking every morning down to the marina which has a very nice incline. Very friendly folks throughout the campground. They have a pool and wonderful playgrounds, laundry facilitys, clubhouse and all the basic resort amenities. We would definitely stay here again.

The only small negative is once in a while you would hear the train. But It really did not bother us.
