Pensacola Scenic Bluffs Highway

The Pensacola Scenic Bluffs Highway provides panoramic views of Escambia Bay from tall; clay bluffs. Come enjoy this unique driving experience offering a diverse landscape of bayous; tidal marshes; wooded uplands; a shopping and dining district. Explore the bluffs at Bay Bluffs Park or visit the remains of an 1854 sawmill at Chimney Park. Nearby is a public boat launch on Bayou Texar.

This feature caused the earliest Spanish explorers to establish the first settlement in the sheltered bay near the bluffs in 1559. Scenic vistas are a highlight as the road winds for 11 miles through parks and nature preserves.
