We got a monthly spot and have been more than pleased with it here. Very quiet and we'll maintained.

We stayed here for a long weekend over Halloween. Friday night was the “rowdiest” as we arrived (around 8pm) but I think it had all quietedn down by 9. It was *super* quiet the rest of the time. Very clean. We did not use them but we did look into the bathhouse and it was very tidy. The catch and release pond looked very nice as well. There is a small play area for kids close to the pavilion. We have Verizon and only had slightly slow connections. Everything still worked pretty well. Our site (#6) had fine WiFi connection as well.
Only negatives we could say are: no ice, no camp store. If you were staying longer, there are no washer/dryers either.
That said there are a few places within a few miles for necessities and ice.
We will definitely be back.

This is a small well kept campground. A little hard to get to in the middle of no where but that is park of it's charm. When you arrive there is a little office at the entrance which is basically a shed. There is a cabin in the back with the restrooms and showers. They are locked 24/7 and you need to ask for the password to open them . After hours you can text or call the main line and there are staff staying on the camp ground 24/7 which can help you. The sites are not super level but not terrible either.

We were directed to head straight to our site upon arrival. On site campground management stopped by to check on us as we were setting up camp. Very friendly staff that was readily available in person and by phone. The gravel pad was very level. The site had slight slope off the pad. Our site had very good spacing. Picnic table, fire ring and grill at each site. The shower houses were very clean. Lots of open space at center of campground. Great location near Smith Mountain Lake and the Booker T Washington National Monument. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay.

This was my first stay at a campground after purchasing a new trailer. The owner came by and was so nice and welcoming. She gave me a bundle of firewood as a congrats gift on the new trailer. Such a nice gesture. My stay was quiet and peaceful.
