“within walking distance of museums, fine dining, and a golf course”
Beaver Meadows was donated to the State of Iowa in 1934 by the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company. Developed as a State Park by the Works Progress Administration, the original park contained the nine-hole golf course, camping and picnic areas, and a low-head dam. Today the park is owned by the city of Parkersburg and is managed by the Butler County Conservation Board. The area offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities. Fishing for smallmouth bass, catfish, and walleye is good in Beaver Creek and visitors are within walking distance of museums, fine dining, and a golf course. Electrical hookups with both 30 and 50 amp service are available for up to twenty campers and a shelter house is also available.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 14, 2023To dump you need to go out of park and cross a bridge and drive up in front of a business that has a sewer manhole with a hole to allow you to dump. It's a PITA. Two water FILL locations with one in the middle, so inaccessible when park is busy. You can park the way you like which is nice sometimes because we like to Horseshoe park in groups but some people park weird eating up spaces and outlets
The camphost lady is super sweet and nice. It's a good price for camping esp with Wednesdays being free. It's overall quiet and nice area for outdoor games. Nice creek to fish at. Every site area has power
