There was no crowd whatsoever (Sunday evening), the grounds were incredibly well-maintained, and the bathhouse was super clean. Plus the rangers were very friendly and helpful. The site sizes range and could accommodate anything from basic tents to larger Motorhomes (45 feet?). All-around a wonderful, relaxing experience. If you want to venture out, the park is nestled right between two quaint little towns (Oxford and Tiffin). Oh and bring cash! It’s $20 for one night and well worth every cent. Happy travels!
Wow. Hidden gem. Week days it was practically empty. Peaceful, extremely well cared for. Great swimming, bike trails, and lots of pull through sites. Only electricity but nearby water.
Nice county park. Right now 2017 the lake is drained but still a nice area with a number of hiking trails. It is about 15-20 minutes from I80. Sites have 30A electrical water is available as well as a shower house

Well established campground with many mature tress for shade in most campsites. 50 amp electric at each site, water hydrants for filling tanks spread throughout, and a single dump station. Wi-Fi is good depending on your site as well as Verizon cell service.
Nice large lake with walking and bike trails. Also a beach area and playgrounds.

Have stayed here a lot. Great quiet campground in a large park near Coralville/Iowa City. No full hookups but water throughout camp and a dump station near campground entrance. Park is well maintained and shower house always has hot water. Wifi is really good if you get close to one of the antennas. Verizon is good, TMobile is not good. Both of us were able to work full time with wifi and Verizon.
Mix of back-in and pull through sites, definitely get a spot on the upper part of either loop because the lower spots can be really unlevel.

We stayed one night. Nice gravel sites, playground, hiking, and more. We were looking forward to hot showers and flush toilets, but when we got there we were told the bath house was closed, and only the pit toilets were available (they were well kept).

Able to pick a sight on a Sunday night and pay via ennvelope. Clear instructions, good park map. As prior reviewer noted, showers were closed for season in Sept already, only disappointment. Free wifi worked surprisingly well and fast! Level gravel site, clean picnic table, nice grassy area. No noise.

Beautiful park. Good mix of camp sites from pull thru to back in and from fairly close together to reasonably spaced out. Lovely lake area with 8 (?) historical bridge designs to learn about. We were there 10/8/22 and the leaves were awesome. $20/night and I believe all were electric only.

Only giving it 4 stars for the unlevel spots. We literally tried 3 spots and never have had that experience. But I will say aside from that,,,, loved it. $20 per day. They have firewood from 6pm-630pm for sale by the rangers. Nice staff. They are currently doing construction at the front of the campsite so a little construction noise depending on where you are. Picnic table and fire pit at each site. Cute campground, nice trees and flowers in spring also stayed in the fall last year and it was beautiful going down the long road. It had the most colorful trees, I was obsessed. Electric only. But has a free dump station and potable water on the road right before the campground. I loved it. Will always come back as Iowa city is my hometown. First come first serve and have never had a problem getting a spot! Would definitely recommend.

This is a big beautiful park with a lake and lots of wildlife and hiking, it was a quiet and relaxing week. No showers when we were there, and the sites are not level at all. Too many trees for Starlink but Verizon worked well enough to work.
