River View Campground

This place was great! The staff were friendly, and the seasonal campers were welcoming even to a family just passing through. The sites are nice with fire pits. The shower house is AHHHHHMAZING. The pool is nice, and the WIFI was actually adequate. Activities on site are nice, and the drive to Mall of America is worth it for a quiet night of camping.

Nicest office I've ever seen, it was like a log cabin on the inside! People were very friendly, walked us to our site and helped guide the husband into the spot. We had a nice site right on along the river. The tent campers next to us set up a little too close for my preference, but we didn't see much of them. They have something going on here each night, whether it's bingo or a comedian, or a bean bags tournament, something for everyone.

Absolutely no (sprint) cell service until about a 1.5 miles away from the campground. They have wifi and gave me the password, but it never worked.

I used my Passport America for the $20/night. Call for Reservations.
A lot of Freeway noise pretty much 24/7. Nice laundry-3 washers 3 dryers, $1 each.
With all the rain many sites were flooded.
Staff/owners very nice and helpful.
Showers and restrooms excellent.

This was great for overnight stay. Easy access from the Interstate. Restrooms/showers were great. Staff was awesome. Road noise was a bit much but OK.

We booked this park after reading the reviews on the Campendium App as I noted they are Passport America members so our stay was half price. I called same day at 4:45 pm as we were traveling through & Wayne the owner was very cordial & explained water to the sites was shut off because of the evening temps, but we are self contained in our class C Sunseeker so just wanted a site with electricity. He said they would be gone, so just find a site & pay in the morning. We stayed in site C1 backed up to the Straight River with table & fire ring. It was very convenient from our route on I-35 South. The restrooms/showers were the best we’ve ever encountered-warm, clean & nicely decorated. The building that housed the office, store, gathering room was cozy like a log cabin inside with a huge rock fireplace-outside was like a metal shed. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed here so we could spend a day and drive up to Mall of America. Nice place to just kick back and relax. Less than an hour from Mall of America. Very clean and owners were great.

Amazingly helpful owners and a beautiful site!

No full hook ups, the site is not paved, all covered with weed and mud. For the price I believe it should be paved and full hook up. The place itself looks just very bad.
The pool is not worth a trip. I would not return to this place.
The staff is very friendly and will make all possible to accommodate your needs but it will not cover for how bad the campground looks.

Great stop! Pup friendly and extremely nice staff! The bathrooms/showers are awesome and the little river that runs through is full of frogs, love it!
