We spent 3 nights here before returning to Texas after visiting family in North Alabama. Hwy 65 was smooth sailing all the way. When we arrived the attendant explained everything about the resort. The sites are level and very nice. On the concrete pad is a picnic table and a propane fire pit with 2 Adirondack rockers. The propane tanks can be filled as needed and then left for the next camper. Our tank had enough for us to use without additional filling. There are 3 pools. We sat at the main pool and it was very nice with comfortable loungers and a hot tub. There are hiking trails and several dog parks. We were within 15 minutes of the beach access and lots of restaurants and shopping. We are already planning a longer trip back to this exceptional resort.

We chose this location based on recommendations and its somewhat close proximity to Mobile. This place is basically brand new and very nice. We had a few packages shipped here and the staff was more than helpful. They also pick up all of your trash at pretty much anytime of the day. The beaches in this area are amazing. Also, across the street is an entertainment district with some restaurants, hotels, and shopping. We ate at an amazing BBQ place called Blue Water BBQ Company. We have had a ton of BBQ and this is easily in the top three. It was an amazing meal and even friendlier owners. Mobile is about 45 minutes away.

Park is new and very well kept. There are activities planned daily and emails sent to tell you what’s planned. On our section there is an adult only heated pool which was nice even though weather was too cool to use. Laundry facilities were excellent. We ate at a cool place in Gulf Shores called Tacky Jacks. Have adult specials in February especially for senior citizens. Also liked Docs Seafood. Would definitely stay here again. Only problem was our cable did not come in very clear.

We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning. Short trip over to the Wharf for dining and night life. Nature trail on site, etc. Great place!

We arrived a few days after they reopened post Hurricane Sally. They had done a great job cleaning up the park.
The amenities we used and that were open all looked new and were in great shape.
Hope to come back here again when we have more time!

This is a great resort for walkers and bikers. The resort has trails that directly connect into the Gulf State Park walking and biking trails, offering many miles of opportunities.
We had a lake front site and the views were great from our RV. The resort is walkable to The Wharf.
Many amenities closed at sunset. Grills, pools, laundry, bath house, etc. This was disappointing and seemed unnecessary. We tried to use their gas grills one evening at 6 pm and were unable to.

We stayed here three nights as we vacationed in Gulf Shores. We arrived late and our directions were on the door for us. After the first night, we decided to change sites to have a better view of the pond and fountains and the front desk made it hassle free. The sites are spacious and level. All hookups are easily accessible. The amenities were great, as we took advantage of the pool (very nice pool for our kids), the bathhouse (clean, spacious, air conditioned), wash room, and pond (we fished off the bank and off the dock). There were other amenities that we did not take advantage of, as well. One of the nicest resorts we have stayed at. Other campers were friendly and respectful. Sun Outdoors is also conveniently located to nearby The Wharf, which includes shopping, food, and entertainment. I can’t recommend this place enough.

The campground is well kept, lots are flat & concrete - both nice features. When I made my reservation, I specifically asked if I’d be near construction…as they are expanding. I was told “you won’t even know there is construction”. Ha! Right across from my site, and they start at 7:30 am. Not cool. Trash…2 bins at the entrance, often overflow, found a cat in one of them, and no recycling. Should have either service or bins in other locations. Grounds staff seemed nice..office staff probably could use some customer service training.
We move sites in a few days…it should be quieter
Too many options, no need to return. Spent almost $1200 to stay here.

We had a very good experience here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our site was a concrete pad, nice size, and very level. We had a back in site with trees behind us. Laundry has new washer and dryers, credit card payments, bathrooms are clean and showers are large. Pools were heated and hot tub was the perfect temperature. Amenities are nice and will be nicer once the new clubhouse is finished in January 2024. We have already made reservations to come back next year.
