Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 08, 2021It should be noted that this campground is under new management as of July 2016. The current owners are excellent and I believe they will continue to improve this campground tremendously.
Sites are FHU, no cable, no wifi. Verizon 4G network was adequate. We were seeing family in the area and chose this site because of the location and price. The owners were great and super helpful! They've made a lot of improvements since taking over and it shows. I did not use the bathhouse so I can't review that. It's a small campground with maybe 40 sites? Ours was mostly level but needed some blocks to level out. The gravel site is narrow but backing in is easy.

First impressions off putting. Lots of “stuff” laying around and old been-around-the block RVs greet you. This mostly a long term park. The owners were very responsive when making the reservation. They were also friendly and check-in was a breeze. WII FI wasn’t mentioned, and it wasn’t on the information sheet but it was available and worked sporadically. It had been heavily raining so there was lots of standing water in the interior dirt and gravel roads. Our pull thru 50 amp FHU site had drained fairly well. The site is grass so we were concerned but it wasn’t a problem. The site was fairly level with a tilt on the passenger side. There only appears to be 2 50 amp sites. Most of the sites are heavily treed although ours just had one big tree on the passenger side. The park is located on Otego Creek which had tons of water from the rain. They are also directly across Rte 7 from a railroad track. We heard several trains but thankfully no whistles! There is road noise from somewhere although it was pretty quiet at night. There are no over the air channels, and they don’t have cable. We didn’t try Directv. Verizon was 4g 2 bars.

We liked this campground. Close to the freeway. Easy check in. Cute. Lots of grass for our dogs. A little road noise, but not bad. Good hook ups and easy in and out. Would like to stay here in warmer weather and check out the pool. They have a nice music stage too.

This campground has a great location, close to an interstate, but not so close you hear the traffic noise all night. It is a nice setting and has a river making a 'U' all the way around the campground, but there is no access to river - either to see it or walk up to it. Campground has thick bushes keeping everyone from the river. Our site was nice, plenty of room lengthwise and side-to-side. The campsites are spacious on the sides. You are not on to of your neighbor. There are lots of trees on the front half of the campground and a pretty grassy meadow at the back. All the sites are really deep so there is lots of room behind or in front of your trailer. Plenty of tenting sites on grassy meadow with fire rings. Even though the campground was worn and old, the swimming pool looked very nice and clean. A wooden deck surrounds the in-ground pool. There are train tracks nearby, but we didn't not hear any whistling, just humming by.
The negatives:
1. Our site was long and plenty wide, but the hookups were so far from the gravel parking that we had to park one wheel on the grass off the road so that we could reach the sewer with our hose. Site was not quite level before parking off the gravel road, after it took quite a bit to lift the one side. Water pressure is pretty low, but water seems clean and clear. There is a regulator that is not removable that might impact the water flow.
2. There are many long-term campers that appear run down and bedraggled. There were not many people here on a Sat. night in Aug when we camped.
3. The bathroom leaves a tremendous amount to be desired. The floor is wooden planks and the poles that hold the walls of the stalls are cut into the floor and you can see the dirt right under the floor. The facility is old and worn. The showers were clean from hair and scum, but the shower curtains and floors were not clean and I imagine insects would be a problem, although I didn't see any during the day. The wooden floor had never been cleaned. It has a layer of dirt on it. You would not want to be in here without shoes. I was grateful we did not have to use the bathrooms.
4. There were lots of mosquitos as we were setting up and walking around the campground. There is a river close by and lots of trees and grass, so that may be the reason, but we couldn't stay outside to enjoy the setting.
