Sunny the Sunfish

Great view! The sunfish monument was an added treat for the kids. Lot's of parking and easy to navigate with a large travel trailer. Looked like there was a popular restaurant across the street, but we didn't have time to check it out.

We stopped here on our way from Madison Wi to Austin Mn. The fish was fun but the surprise was a beautiful, peaceful gazebo with the most amazing panoramic view of the lake. We didn't want to leave and wished we had packed a lunch...then we turned around and saw the Blue Moon restaurant. It had a wonderful deck with a view of the lake and fantastic food! Perfect day!

The Sunfish is a cute photo opportunity but the view of the lake is the real attraction. We got there closer to sunset and were awe stricken.

Great views here. Nice stop close to the highway to stretch your legs and chill for a bit. We expected Sunny to be a cartoonish representation and were all surprised when she turned out to be more true to life.

Sunfish is neat for a great photo op, but you cannot beat the views of the Mississippi! Really a great stop and not far from the interstate.

We got here late at night, and didn't get to see the lake. It was surrounded by construction but it was a nice little photo op

Supper neat! Nice area to make a pit stop on our way across country.
