Lake Cunningham - also referred to as the "C", is a 390-acre lake surrounded by a 1,050-acre park located in north-central Omaha, Nebraska. The lake was constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control and recreation and opened to the public in 1977. For more information on additional recreational amenities, please visit our website. In 2021 the park reopened after being closed for renovations and the draining of zebra mussels. The completed improvements to the park include a six-mile concrete multipurpose trail that loops around the lake and crosses over two new pedestrian bridges. The new loop trail is a never-before-seen experience that attracts both walkers and bikers, giving them the opportunity to enjoy nature and wildlife. Lake Cunningham features the West C Campground which has 41 concrete RV sites with electrical of 20, 30, and 50-amplifications. The West C Campground also has an upgraded bathhouse facility. The East C Campground features 42 concrete campground stalls complete with water, electrical of 20, 30, and 50 amps, and sanitary at each pad as well as a new bathhouse facility. There are 7 primitive camping spots. All new grills and firepits will accompany all the campground stalls. All RV sites have access to a freshwater fill station and a dump station when you enter the campground entrance. For more information on the amenities of each campground, please visit our website. Come experience an unforgettable outdoor adventure at the C!

Wonderful campground with very spacious sites. FHU at the West CG. Ed, the camp host and Maxie his dog were great. Very clean all around. Wonderful hot showers and clean bathrooms. Two showers, one is accessible.
Nice trail around the lake, too.

We enjoyed having miles of trails that circle the entire lake right outside our door. There are beautiful views in every direction at the campground and while hiking. It's so close to the city, but it definitely feels like you're just out in the middle of nature. We biked the trail to the east of the campground that goes around to the marina, got on Wenninghoff Road, and went to Target. It was a nice shortcut. Over on the south side of lake by the boat ramp, there is a rental shop called Neighborhood Offshore where you can rent paddle boards, kayaks, etc. There is also a disc golf course on the south side. The bathroom/shower was not super nice or clean, but tolerable. We didn't shower there. There are also vault toilets. The dump station is right at the entrance of the campground. There are water spigots available around the campground as well. It was a quiet stay for us. Maybe a quarter of the sites were occupied. Cell service was 25-30 mbps download speed with our Sprint hotspot. We had great cell service on our Verizon phones.

Stayed one night site 51 - was going to stay longer but verizon was not as strong as others wrote(fluctuated between 2-3 bars on jetpack. Gravel sites with 30 amp - dump when you pulled in, fresh water too - most sites had mature shade trees fire rings with bbq grates - pulled in on weekend place was full - sunday thru thursday empty the way i like it - archaic reservation system online - can only book 1 day at a time - exhausting trying to see sites - once in the place is a breeze

The campgrounds have been updated, new trails have been created, the lake is filled again,, a dog park and kids splash pad are being planned. It is a beautiful area. There is a section that is suited to tent and smaller RVs and one that can handle the big rigs.
If you camp here, please be vigilant as the south side of the lake (opposite the RV side) has had some criminal activity after dark. The City of Omaha is working to step up security and has installed security cameras.

I cannot imagine a better campground close to the city of Omaha. All of the sites are paved and pretty level. The size between the RV sites is generous with lots of green grass. There’s a great paved trail that goes around the entire lake and is about 6 miles. And Many of the sites especially those with electric only have lake views. The bath houses are basic but clean. There’s a playground for kids. No dog park but plenty of great trails and walking areas. It’s a great spot
