Skyisland Retreat & Campground

This place is really peaceful. It’s not like a packed KOA, it’s spread out and I think only less than 10 RV spots here total. The grounds are clean and the owner is super sweet and accommodating.

This place is extremely peaceful, it's really small and quaint, and the owner is fantastic. Make sure to follow instructions to get there, especially if you have a longer rig because you probably won't make the left turn into the campground from your navigation instructions. It seemed like we might have trouble getting in and leaving but had no problems, it was an easy pull through. Site had a concrete pad and easy hookups, and wifi worked quite well. Water pressure was a bit low but was fine. A bit of a drive to Asheville but there's a nice small town there and it's extremely close to the highway. Very quiet and peaceful!

A small campground that's run by some nice helpful folks but a bit run down. Bathrooms were old and badly in need of a real good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. The site we were on had a pad but we needed about 2-3" in the back to get even close to level. We were extremely disappointed for a "5 Star" rating. Add in the frequent dog barking and it kind of says it all.

Pretty rustic . They have some cabins with a creek running through, nice dog area, a pond (quit green while we were there) ok for small campers. We were in a 40ft class A. This is not really made for this. had a very hard time getting it level, at that, the back end was way off the ground.. Not worth what they are asking to stay there.
