Located in the Black River Wild Forest, this campground has 112 campsites, picnic area, a large beach with lifeguards and more than 5 miles of hiking trails. The park abuts a 205-acre shallow lake closed to motor boats, which makes this serene location great for canoeing, kayaking, or swimming. And don't forget that fish pole, because the fishing is great too. If paddling around at dusk trolling for that lunker bass or brown trout, listening to the sound of the loons, and watching the sun set sounds a little too relaxing for you then how about a modern ADA Accessible playground for the little ones, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball and more than 3 miles of paved roads for the biker or jogger. Whatever you choose to do with your time here, take time out to observe the abundant wildlife. Whitetail deer are everywhere and friendly.

We only stayed here one night on our way from Niagra to Maine and it rained pretty much the entire time but I STILL loved this campground. It is so pretty and all of the sites are tucked into the trees so you have some privacy. The bath house is very nice and the showers are very large. You don't have to pay for them but the water shuts off every 20 seconds or so. You have to keep hitting the buttons which are right in the shower so it's not too bad, just annoying. The lake is gorgeous and both the sunset and sunrise were amazing. The beach was very nice with bath houses and a trail around the lake. We saw all of this in the morning between a break in the rain but did not get to make use of it. We will definetly be back (hopefully when it isn't raining) though. And if you want somewhere to get breakfast, go to Keyes Pancake House. It's about 5 minutes from the campground and the food is awesome. The blueberry pancakes are great!
