Great park and lots of activities for kids. Really nice trees and you forget you are in the middle of the city.

Mt. Gilead State Park is open year round with many outdoor recreation activities including hiking on several trails, fishing, biking, and wildlife viewing. There are two small lakes in the park that offer good bass, bluegill and other panfish, as well as ice skating (and ice fishing) in the winter. There is a 59-site campground (electric/sewer hooks), 2 cabins, a picnic area, playground, volleyball, basketball, disc-golf, and other sports related activities.
