I stopped here en route to a Harvest Hosts and stayed just to split the travel time. What a pleasant surprise! I pulled into this quiet town and into the campground which had paved roads, immaculate laundry facilities and restrooms, and very friendly staff. I got a site on the picturesque lazy river and it didn’t hurt that it was a beautiful day. There are many permanent campers here and most people seemed friendly. The town has some charm to it as well. Sites are level. Wi-Fi is only available near the office area and I picked up eight channels on the TV antenna. The only issue is the power post Was at the front of the site but the management conveniently let me borrow an extension to accommodate my power.
Lastly, I ordered firewood and they do not skimp! It equaled about two bundles under normal circumstances and they even delivered it to my site!

Quiet campground with spots right on the river. The river is in town, so 4 stars, but still awesome.
Bugs weren’t too bad.
Nice gravel road in.
Restrooms were a trailer, but pretty clean.
The spots toward the end where we were are more spread out that when you first enter the camp, but they have zero privacy.
Miniature golf for a dollar, for hole for $5, and lots of water tubes, boats etc for rent at really good prices.
Mostly locals camping, and a lot of long term renters, but still a very nice spot.

Very large city park with plenty of camp sites. It’s along a river so people were gently tubing in it. Our dog loved stepping into the cool water near the shore. We were given two sites that were back to back so that it became a pull through site. Great for us since we’re still learning how to back in our Fifth Wheel. Sites are level gravel. Plenty of trees throughout the campground for shade and aesthetics. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

We spent a month on the river. Love it. Gets busy on weekends but nice during the week. Many good places nearby for dinner. Clean restrooms and laundry. Staff is wonderful. Wood delivered to your site!

This is a really nice park. Easy to get to. We called ahead and were given a spot on the river. Across the river is an old church and steeple. I believe it is the Christian Science Church built in 1886. First in the world. Gives the park a very picturesque small town vibe. Campground is well maintained and very quiet…until the train rumbles through !
I love trains and everything about them, but these go through a couple of times per night and it’s a constant finger on the horn. Being along the river we probably get the worst of it. Will definitely wake you up.
Other than that, would definitely love to come back for more than one night and explore the town.
