Memorial Park

Nyack’s premier park is Memorial Park right on the Hudson River.  This 11 acre area currently has baseball, basketball, tennis, a children’s playground, and a butterfly garden.  It is also the location of many events, such as the Friend’s of the Nyack’s Mostly Music summer program on Tuesday evenings.The Village started a planning process for its waterfront in the early 1990s, and adopted its Local Waterfront Revitalization Program in 1992, which was later integrated into its Comprehensive Plan in 2007.The Nyack Parks Conservancy has been working on a plan to improve the park since 2008. It has hired the renowned NYC firm Quennell Rothschild to design a new, expanded park, which would include the Village-owned marina just to the north.
